Dr. Rick has been in veterinary practice full time for over 20 years. He graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2000, at which time he received an Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Small Animal Medicine from the College. Even in those early years, Dr. Rick’s gentle demeanor and accomplished bedside manner was noticed by his clinical Professors and Interns. To this day he prides himself, not only on excellence of pet medicine, but he also puts a major emphasis on owner education, about their pet’s overall health and wellness.
Rick grew up locally in Airdrie, Alberta, and also on an acreage just Northeast of Calgary. It was during these formative years that Rick knew that above all else, he wanted to pursue Veterinary medicine.
Dr. Rick and his family live in Okotoks, where you can see him during off-clinic hours around town on the bike paths or running trails. He also enjoys heading to the mountains to enjoy the wonderful hiking and biking trails that Alberta has to offer.
